Horizons 27 is Your Magazine!

Horizons 27 is published three times annually – fall, winter and spring.

Its purpose is to provide information to District members on matters of current interest both within District 27 and at the provincial level. It is your magazine. Articles of interest to members, by members and about members are welcome: human interest stories, a report of travels, literary efforts etc.

Editorial Policies
The editorial committee reserves the right to modify any submissions to fit the space available and to determine the appropriateness of any submission for a particular issue.

The views expressed by the authors do not necessarily reflect those of RTO/ERO. Articles are to be no longer than 500 words. Longer articles or items that are reduced in size may be posted on the website by the editor.

Articles are to be no longer than 500 words and are to be submitted by email to:

Accepted Formats:
MS Word .doc, RTF (Rich Text Format) plain text .txt, PDF, and digital photos of all kinds.

Deadlines for submissions of articles
Fall: June 1
Winter: October 1
Spring:February 1

Photographs
If you do not want your photograph included in the Horizons 27 magazine or on our district website, please indicate so to the photographers at the various social events. Articles may be reproduced with credit to the authors and the publication.

The spring, 2011 edition of Horizons 27 reflects a major redesign concept for our magazine, marking the transition to full colour print on glossy paper! Also for the first time, the French and English sections are separated into a reversible magazine.

The Communication Committee is looking for volunteer members to assist with various tasks required to put together the Horizons 27 magazine.

It is hoped that at least one individual will be willing to take on increased responsibilities, working up to the role of Editor-in-Chief.
